Real Ale" Cask Night at Sierra Tap House
"Real Ale" Cask Night. Drink beer the Old Fashion Way, straight from the Cask! We will hand tap the cask at the beginnig of the day and pour it until the Cask is Dry. $15 All You Can Drink, and you get to keep the Special Glassware designed for that Beer. This is a totaly different and unique way of drinking beer. Check back here every month to see what beer we are pouring.

Old Ale is an Imperial Stout aged in Whiskey Barrels for 11 months, and then Blended with Sierra Nevada's Scotch Ale.

Join us every third Saturday of the month from 2:00pm to 5:00pm when the Riverwalk Merchants Association hosts the popular Wine Walk (the original, and still the best!) along the Truckee River and neighboring streets in downtown Reno. Buy your Glass and Map at Sierra Tap House and begin your journey through the River Walk District.

Sierra Tap House Home Brew Contest
ATTENTION HOME BREWERS!!
Once again we will be celebrating Home Brewing by holding our Annual Home Brew contest!
Enjoy some tasty Home Brews and Live Music in West St. Plaza.
Then Cast Your Vote for the People's Choice (if you can still focus).
This is a Event has been a lot of fun in the past, and should not dissapoint this year. If you Love Beer, you will love this Event!
If you are a homebrewer and interested in entering your tasty beverage, you can stop by Sierra Tap House, Legends Grill, or Ole Bridge Pub for an application. You can also send me a message, make sure you give me your email so I can send you the entry form.
1st place for Brew Master's Choice gets to attend Sierra Nevada's Beer Camp, a day to camp where you get to design a beer with a Sierra Nevada Brew Master. And then bring it home!
Rules:
Any Style.
Must be home brewed. No professionals please.
All participants must be 21.
Bring enough for everyone to taste and to share with the public (at least 5 gallons, more would be better)
Bring a written description of your beer, including name, ingredients, style, etc.. Don’t be afraid to be creative, such as creating labels for bottles.
Must Have your Registration in by June 1st 2010.
Registration Fee is $20. This includes free entry, ice, a booth, gift package, etc.. (each additional beer is $10). ( I have to add this fee this time due to additional expenses and no shows).
Keep checking back here for more details as we get closer. Here are the details so far, the date is set for June 26th Saturday Afternoon in West St. Plaza (the plaza next door to the Tap House).
Once again Terence Sullivan, Sierra Nevada Brewery Brew Master, will coming to Reno to Judge the Event. And 1st Place Prize for the Brew Master Award will be a Trip to Beer Camp at Sierra Nevada Brewery. There will also be a Prize (to be determined) for the People's Choice award too.
